![]() In preparation, the show’s cast and crew, including executive producer Bill Lawrence, have waged a full-on social-media blitz, offering audiences what most of the shows in TV’s ever-increasing landscape can’t: a completely immersive behind-the-scenes experience. (In it, special guest Ed Sheeran performed, the cast created its own goofy live credit sequence, and cast member Brent Morin had his chest actually waxed.) Only, unlike with 30 Rock or The Drew Carey Show before it, both NBC and the sitcom’s producers decided they liked the show live so much that, days later, the network announced a full season of live Undateable episodes, which premiere Friday. Last May, NBC’s then sophomore sitcom Undateable pulled off what only a handful of other TV comedies have attempted before it-a live episode.
